Hello everyone, I have a question why designs with a low vote are already in production?
The number of votes a design receives is not the single determining factor to winning any competition. We take them seriously, but we also take into account printability, trends in the market, social media responses, comments etc. So you could definitely see designs with a lower number of votes compared to others winning and being produced. We take into account a lot more than just a designs votes, but they are weighted heavily.
Inked is correct but we also sometimes print a new designer we think has shown significant growth in design or is creating something interesting or on trend. We can’t just print the same people constantly.
Votes are checked for fraud voting also and you would be surprised how many of the top voted designs contain multiple fraud votes. Votes alone would never determine winners but it’s a great guide in knowing what people like. We consider trends, printability, comments, previous sales data and general buzz surrounding a design.
