Diablo III T-shirt Design Contest

Hello, my friend.
Stay awhile and listen…

Design by Humans is looking for some heroic Humans – or perhaps Demon Hunters or Monks – to design truly worthy T-shirts inspired by Blizzard's Action RPG masterpiece, Diablo III. Design By Humans and its community are a force to be reckoned with in the t-shirt design world, so we're thrilled to be partnering with Blizzard Entertainment, an absolute juggernaut in the video game design world. Combine these two forces, and we expect to see some truly extraordinary shirt designs.

This Is Your Canvas, Create An Epic Diablo III T-Shirt

This Is Your Canvas, Create An Epic Diablo III T-Shirt

By entering, you're giving yourself the chance to have your work seen by the creative minds at Blizzard Entertainment, the very people behind some of the greatest video game titles of the last 20 years. Not to mention reviewed by Design By Humans and it's global community.

Together, we're sending you on a quest: design a t-shirt using characters from Diablo III, and then pit them against each other in a massive art contest for a combined $12,500 in cash and additional prizes. Your quest is somewhat less dangerous than defeating the Prime Evils. No need to fight Mephisto – but feel free to incorporate him into your design.

In fact, you can incorporate any of fifteen character designs from the Diablo Universe listed below.

Here is my WIP

@ ADAMLAWLESS – No offence taken. I personally think it looks fairly proportional but I’ll let Blizzard decide! :) I think yours is good but I agree with others I would take out the barbarian as Mephisto stands out on his own.

ADAMLAWLESS ADAMLAWLESS Artist from Johor Bahru, Malaysia

@cj50500 – agree with AnhLe819, at least make him hold a weapon or do something else coz right now ‘no story is told’.

AnhLe819 AnhLe819 Artist from United States

@cj50500, looks good. but I think his arms are kinda stiff. Maybe make him open his arm a little, bent it at the elbow, and hold a weapon. That’s my suggestion.

cj50500 cj50500 Artist from Kentucky, United States

Refined it down some more and added some more to his body :D

Any suggestions?
and @montoya1983 Looks awesome!

After much thoughts I will delete Barbarian and focus on Mephisto, more need to be done on him. Thanks TO ALL COMMENTS, it does help a lot.
@ Daletheskater – More need to be done there, at the moment the body is not so right to me, no offence, mate.
@ Montoya83 – I really like your design, Im so impressed, goodluck!
@ Lorela – looking great!

hi, so what do you think…? ^^;
I´m not sure if the right pucture is correct, I just changed it down to 10 colors…

@Adam the the barbarian is distracting, but the red color is a nice complement to the blue.

Hi, i made this in 4 colors: one dark red, 2 yellows and white, does it have to be a specific PANTONE or can they be any CMYK mix?, the design is all in vectors.

@Adam. It looks much better with the simple approach and I like the reworking of the face. I don’t really think the design needs the Barbarian. If you choose to keep it I would suggest a different color around him and as others have said maybe a different position.

Hi Adam, maybe the connection between the barbarian and Mephisto is the key here. For me, maybe you can blend them together and make sort of a cohesive story behind it, I dont know if this could help but if you can make the reddish light reflect in Mephisto’s skin, maybe that can help. Another thing that somehow gets in the way is the level of detail. I can see that Mephisto is highly fine-lined in crisp detail but the barbarian kind of lacks the crispness. (or maybe its just the motion blur effect). try to look at your monitor 10 to 20feet away, or look at it in a mirror. Sometimes the longer we look at an artwork we tend to overlook at elements that need to be refined, at least for me that works. goodluck brother! Im in full-support mode with your art!

@adamlawless..bro…for me I like with Barbarian maybe.change the dynamic pose. Mephisto is great but it.looks like theres something missing. The striking colour behind the Barbarian is good and really catch your attentions. anyways this is really awesome piece. goodluck

@AnhLe819 – tks for your opinion, yeah …looks like I’m messing everything up now sigh ...tks again

@Adamlawless- i agree with Ingkong, I don’t think the barbarian should be there neither. I feel like Mephisto is grabbing downward, and the barbarian is coming down from above. If there should be a story, the Barbarian should be escaping Mephisto’s grab. Maybe the barbarian should be jumping upward between Mephisto’s fingers. I don’t know, its just my opinion. =)

ADAMLAWLESS ADAMLAWLESS Artist from Johor Bahru, Malaysia

@Ingkong – I see your point, I’m not sure whether to add Barbarian or not, I feel a story is needed there. I’m really stuck now. Any feedback is much appreciated, thanks Ingkong and friends :-)

@ Adamlawless great design man if i were to asked i prefer without Barbarian, Mephisto itself is a strong character already. I find it too awkward if there’s Barbarian on it just my concern. One thing more it needs a strong background then everything is already superb. Can’t wait on it man!
