This in-house position offers seasonal employment in an exciting and fast-paced e-commerce company located in the heart of Chico California. Design By Humans is looking for someone with strong organizational and written skills to provide solutions to customer service issues through a multitude of communication platforms. The Customer Service Representative will be the primary contact for customers to receive resolution though email, live chat, community forums, social media direct messages, and in a swift and professional manner. It is the long-term goal of the Customer Service Representative to foster a positive customer service experience while ensuring that procedure is followed and customers of our websites are ecstatic with their experience.
Duties/Responsibilities (include but not limited to the following)
- Provide phone, live chat and email support for online and website customers
- Monitor online community and social networks for direct messages and other various responses from customers that could potentially have a negative impact on customer service
- Respond professionally and quickly to customer emails through our online portal (ZenDesk)
- Interact and engage with potential customers via online chat
- Manage all aspects of customers order: from order placement to tracking through to fulfillment to ensure complete customer satisfaction
- Determine best resolution/action for customers
- Accurate knowledge of order tracking and shipping methods
- Assist in maintaining customer & inventory databases
- Assist in developing and improving processes/procedures
- Process customer returns, exchanges & refunds that are received on a daily basis
- Support and assist management with any and all tasks assigned
- Forward promotional opportunities to management

- You possess strong verbal and written communication skills
- Passionate about art, gaming and pop culture
- Ability to prioritize projects and tasks quickly
- Must be able to multitask
- Flexibility in scheduled hours is required. Morning and late night shifts may be scheduled depending on business needs.
- Previous customer service experience in the e-commerce industry is ideal
