About the Submission

A Short Story. Earth, near future. The population density grows far beyond what's acceptable. Massive population and housing scarcity lead to land becoming the most precious commodity in the global economy. A plot of land to bury the dead becomes the ultimate status symbol. When the moon is colonised, land sharks grab most of the prime real estate, and ultra-luxurious "Moon Graveyards" are created. Dead bodies. Scientists. Experiments. Water excavations. Something goes wrong. Something gets released in the atmosphere. And the dead bodies are dead no more. (A reworking of a panel from a comic I drew last year.)
