Ok, so I’m about to feel like a giant idiot, but can someone expain this one to me? I can’t tell if it’s “supposed” to be a Tienneman (sp?) thing or if it’s a generic Veteran’s Day thing (or if that’s just a coincidence that it printed on the 11th day of the 11th month, haha – Veteran’s Day here in the states).
So yeah, I really dig the style, though it’s not my thing, I’d love to get an explanation/information regarding the “meaning” from robsoul or…really… anyone, haha.
Yes, Karyn2002, Tian’anmen Square, most definitely, but with a dark sense of humor in regard to the shopping bag he’s holding. The irony of the bag, as in “Thank you, come again & have a nice day,” when it’s everything opposite to that. But then also the graf, some of which is from South Africa, which I visited last year and took photos of street art. South Africa still has an incredible amount of poor people and a lot of violence. I’m not trying to say anything specific politically, each just has a different meaning to me and what I’ve seen. Obviously the guy and the tank are the most poignant images though and something we all recognize.
The little doodle guy with his tongue out on top of the “hello“sticker is one of my characters from my sketch book. The stencil of the guy and the tank is also mine. I haven’t dropped that in years.
Hey Rob I think I saw some of your posters in L.A. Did you hit some areas with a poster that were a guys face? Love your street art style, you should sub more stuff like that.

Very nice
And classy move DBH!
No, that was not me, Craig. Lots of talented street artists out there, I personally haven’t bombed anything since the late 90s… that’s how old I am.
This isn’t yours?
