Oooh, I second the gold foil comment. This guy deserves to be properly reflective. hehe
The colors on this one are absolutely gorgeous. I am really diggin’ the green/blue on his body.
Oh yeah this dude is totally getting gold foil. The thin yellow line that goes around his body (outside the black line) will be gold. It will look rad!

This is “original” compared to all the other foo dogs around! This foo dog just really stands out amazingly and I love his toothy smile!

This dynamic and vivacious shirt design is fun to see. The monster looks as if he’s in a boisterous mood, and overflowing with mischievous desires. I hope he captures enough votes to be printed and sold!

I make plenty of tees, usually around 3 – 5 a week, you obviously can draw. I’m just saying the content feels really dated. I could really careless. There are not enough honest people on this site to give real critique.
Funny that you talk about honest crits. I see you give insightful and helpful crits to others on DBH while still being professional and courteous. I don’t see why you can’t extend me the same respect as others. Both your “crits” are needlessly insulting and out of character for you given the handful of comments i have observed. Maybe i didnt see any of the mean ones you have made, i won’t pretend to know you. It seems like your “honesty” is stemming from something that is your problem, not mine. Like I said on the other shirt page, critique away…everyone needs improvement and i appreciate any tips….but make it constructive and try to back it up with some good art as an example. Being a jerk about it accomplishes nothing and makes you look bad.

hi. im jimi. i like your work. nice color choices, simple way of interpreting shapes, etc. really appealing to the eye. although i like the oily one better. im sure with that many votes on both, you have some internetz powerz and you’ll get printed. is that a fire fart comin out the arse? cheers!

i agree with gilb, this is too obvious to b on a shirt, we need to ask to original, not just good-looking ideas.
hey missmonster, u have to accept this does not have any connection with a shirt, maybe tattoos or somethin but it does not fit a shirt.

No problem Ohet. I actually do want people to critique me and you did it in a way that helps me think about designing shirts a little differently. That’s the way to be! :)
In this case I don’t think people are dishonest when they say they like this drawing. Those same people are pleased mainly by the look of the creature , regardless the other criter (due to certain factors).
For what I saw I would say that MM ‘s art is like an evolution of ancien decoration/illustration asiatic style. You can see the same simplified and bold lines and the same kind of fixed dynamism in the pose (and others details). The way she applies color is more like how some African tribes did.
That’s design-art made with automatism at some degres.
I see no particular idea or mind-expression vehiculated in most of your art, MissMonster. I guess it’s in this point you’re attacked.
It’s your your choice.
If I had to wear a T-shirt, I prefere it owns a simplicist pretty “dumbart” than a conceptual/philosophique art that I don’t have the ability to comprehend.
well i will say i like my baby-tee that i have that is of another Miss Monster Original. I think also you need to think of the cut, Fabric, Textile, fit, print, and a whole lot of other factors if we’re getting into “critiquing ones art”. personally i can see these two drawings on shirts. and trust me these are way more original then you realize. I do know that i’m not sure about the seaweed green on red, but other than that i think it’s bad ass.:)

Very well done, but I would NEVER… just NEVER wear it as a tee. I just hate this design on a tee. Sorry its just my opinion and I would be dissapointed if one of ur designs would win because there r so many hot tee designs out there.
i think you should do one of your monsters like the cut out i havw.:) that tee would totally rock it too.:)

I’d love to see this as a T-shirt, I find it very refreshing compared to the number of bad designs that look like they were drawn, while blitzed on something, on an Okaki board. It’s nice to see real art up here, and I would totally wear both this and the Oil Monster shirt.
Its really not my style but you did a pretty nice job on that monster.

I voted for oil and plum..but this one, just duzn’t grow one me. I’ve come back again and again but, nope..no feelings for this. The placement is off. It looks like the dog is goin OUT of the tee. You should have positioned the dog on the right side, so that when it’s worn, the face of the dog can be clearly seen.I feel it would have looked a lot better in the same position as oil monster. And if this and oil gets printed, they’d be too much alike in terms of the colour of the tee.Anyway, that’s up to DBH too.Went to your website..it’s on my favourites list..SO,when’s the next monster,miss?
Yeah i agree, iggi….the more i look at this the more I think it’s kinda boring. The placement bugs me also, and i wish i had put this on a cream colored tee or just had the black lines of the foo dog, not the whole thing colored. I really want Plum to win over this one to be honest…

wow. so much drama on your designs!! that was a great read. placement is kinda sketchy for me along with the color of the shirt. i think someone said something about a tattoo somewhere up there… i agree. but the design is def. sweet. nice job.
I like the illustration, but mayber a better placement. Something a little different? Or maybe the same position but twice as big? I really love the face of the creature
I don’t care what the others have said. Out of all the ones you’ve come up with so far, I like this one the most. I like the idea of the character dropping down the shirt, the leaves, the spotted fur and the blazing orange contrasting the cool shale blues. If I do agree with the foil gold outline, but it isn’t something I’d absolutely need, I’d buy the shirt regardless. I wish I could vote, but it looks like I am too late.

How come this STILL hasn’t made shirt status with this many votes? ugh. This is why I’ve all but given up on this site, it really feels like the votes don’t mater. Instead we get some crap that looks like it was assembled from clip art on a drug trip. :p
I LOVE FOO DOGS!!! he’s so CUTE! as soon as I figure out how to vote I’ll vote for YOU!!! I read that “How does voting work” thing six times and I STILL don’t get it yay! no really how do you vote on this site….anyway I’ll definitely buy it, unless it stays red….or go’s purple….whatever (I HATE THOSE COLORS!!!)
Okay, voted for this! +1 The Foo Dog looks great. There is something off about it.. I do like the offset though – when things are centered in the middle it sometimes makes the picture look more stale. I wouldn’t want that with this happy flying Foo Dog, lol. Perhaps it is that his face is really attractive, but it’s too small to get much attention. Make make it bigger like someone said before? Cream is a ew color, dont make it that color, haha.
Most of your art does look like it’s made to be a tattoo, but i don’t see anything wrong with taking those designs and putting them on clothing, or anywhere, really. (off of what ohet said) Actually, it’s better that it’s not a tattoo, since it’s not permanent and i can just wear the designs as i like. :)
A black outline of this on a cream shirt, and placed on the right (but bigger) would be AWESOME.

Again , great design. I could imagine gold foil would look great with it.
