I always wanted to do a painting in the Italian and Spanish Renaissance style. I noticed that most of the saint slots were filled, so I created a new one. The patron saint of nose pickers. We deserve it.
God and I have an interesting relationship. We like to play practical jokes on each other. He, of course, always wins as he has a infinitely more practice than me but it’s fun to keep trying. I guess it will all even up when I get to the big studio in the sky, provided I don’t end up in the other place, in which case I’m honing all my chop busting skills. This piece is my submission to a gallery group show in Greece this summer.
