What prompted the creation of RPW clothing? RPW clothing is a product of a growing need in our society. There are approximately 24,500 gangs in the U.S. In the year 2000 there were an estimated 750,000 gang members. The 2009 estimate is One Million gang members with the trend continuing to grow. There are approximately 360,000 teenage boys and 32,000 teenage girls in gangs One of the most affected areas is that of South Central LA. With these numbers continuing to grow we felt a call to action. RPW clothing was born with the mission of producing sick clothes with a portion of all the proceeds from sales on rpwclothing.com going to address the need in our society.
