There’s nothing new or original about this concept. Kontrast, MrDavenport, Collisiontheory, and Alvarejo all did similar designs before either of you. You guys just have similar titles, which is not that surprising of a coincidence since both of your titles are very literal takes on the concept.
I don’t know if you noticed but there are lots of similar themes that are popping up repeatedly and are executed similarly, it’s called “trends”. I just saw a sub of a pixelated skull, something I already did last year, but someone had done it way before me too. I also did a design called cerbearus, a 3-headed bear, then months later someone else subbed a similar concept with no knowledge of mine. It happens, people get the same ideas. Get over yourself and stop acting like you gave birth to something nobody’s ever thought of before.

Thanks a lot guys, great support on this! , amazing explain thestray thanks for clearing things out, shure totally get you as something like that happened to me with a great designer in threadless, we have a similar idea done and i decided to make an update to my entry and resub, the day my updated sub was up to vote his updated design went out on woot and we made the same kind of update , shure in our own style each of us but we did the same update so weird coincidences happen all the time specially if you have lots of ideas and you are always working on new designs.
Executed well, Rkdoo had no reason to take you out like that. They’re pretty much nothing alike, and thanks to thestray for disposing of that dispute. It’s not even a weird coincidence, far from it. Can’t wait to see this printed. And i’m writing this as i’m wearing mrdavenport’s BLAST OFF! shirt….now that’s a weird coincidence. Anyways, good luck!
