Making an art out of living.

About the Submission

I wanted to make an original skater t-shirt. So I started by thinking about things that skaters could only grind in their imagination. I knew I wanted my skater figure grinding something in space. So I made him a constellation. It was my roommates idea to name each star in the constellation a trick. I wanted his name to sound astrological like Aquarius, the water bearer. So I named him Grindimus, Grind I must, The Skater. The word grind has a double meaning that appealed to me. Grind as in work hard. The last thing was to decide what he would be grinding. My options where the rings of Saturn, the asteroid belt or as you can see, a comets tail. I don't skate myself but my friend and fellow DBH desiger Warbo01 is a sick skater. The sketch is actually of him. He acted as my art director on this one. It was allot of fun I hope you enjoy.
