The title and overall theme was inspired by the film, The Fountain in which the Tree of Life plays a pivotal role. I had originally drawn the two women but had no way to compose them into a piece together until I thought of the perhaps cliche theme of a Tree of Life in which the excessive line art that makes up their hair forms the basic structure of the tree and is of a similar texture to “generic tree bark”. For the t-shirt I removed the grey background and toned down some of the random colours/shapes that I felt were needed for a good composition on normal print work and most importantly I changed the colour of the scribble behind the larger of the two heads, as on a t-shirt black just wasn’t working.
The original design is 42 × 60cm and here is a 12.5% scaled version for screen:

Nice art kiddo! wont be wearin the T but I’ll buy your art on paper… If I may, the red line is a distraction.

This is a beautiful piece. The only thing I would change is to remove the red line and the blue dots (unless they have some special meaning). They aren’t too distracting, but the more I look at them, I wonder why they are there.
