Pearl Harbor was one thing, but I did notice that you are from the Philippines. The Japanese tortured your people tremendously during WWII. Not to mention killing thousands. It is kind of like a Jewish artist portraying a Nazi as a fun person.

Not to bring this all up again, but I just wanted to provide this antidote for all those people shocked that a Filipino would design a t-shirt with Japanese soldier on it…

Previous to WWII when the US was defending the Philippines, it was actually responsible for quite a few Filipino deaths itself when it invaded the seized the Philippines shortly after they invaded Cuba in 1898, to as President McKinley put it “ Civilize and Christianize” the Filipino people. At least 600,000 Filipinos died in a few years of conflict. Just another example of the arrogant nationalism of the United States used to justify the senseless slaughter in the name of the expansion of the American Empire, the same notion that led to the slaughtering of Pequot and well as many other American Indians as seen approved by god to civilize the savages and take over their land.

One could then come to the conclusion that if the reason the Japanese invaded the Philippines in WWII was to prevent the use of the Philippines as an advance base of operations by American forces, that if the American Forces had not invaded the Philippines 40 years earlier than the Japanese might never of had a reason to attack the Philippines to begin with in WWII…. therefore never torturing “ his people”...

Filipinos tend to forget their history, and maybe the influence of manga culture to the filipino youth today.
