Another sharpie pen drawing with photoshop color;
title pretty much explains the theme of the drawing.
As far as the idea behind it I mainly wanted to do something that was a little more playful than what I normally do…my focus was on color for the most part. I basically started by picking the color for the ‘sky’ gradient and then just worked off of that, using a palette of colors from a similar tone or feel to enhance printability…
I was again going for a storybook type of feel, which I seem to be in to lately, and I also wanted to play with using the shirt color in negative space (like the road) and trying to make the shirt look a bit like it was being peeled away (hope it comes across that way, at least a little)…
I would say more but I’m cutting the deadline a bit close (let’s just say I hope my clock and DBH’s clock are about the same)…
I’ll post some more detailed images if this is accepted…

I really like the sky and the negative space. But the shirt colors dont really go with it to me. If i had to choose one though, it would be the creamy color shirt . Please check my Papaplanes design

and I kind of agree with you zebra, that the shirt colors may not be ideal, but I really wanted the shirt color to be light because of the darkness of the top of the mountain…I didn’t want the focus to be lost…White may have been the best choice to make the colors really pop but I was afraid the clouds would be lost and for some reason I’m really diggin the silver shirts right now…

amazing! white would of been better (i think losing clouds but gaining popping colour is totally worth it) but this is still amazing.

This is very nice work man. I’m surprised it hasn’t received more votes. It feels like a DBH shirt.
amazing detail, sick coloring, great depth effect it looks awesome on the tee. like it much better on the gray tee, the different elements overall the piece are really amazing, the background elemnets are perfect, anyways, voted, a true eyecatching piece…best of luck …peace…

know it doesn’t have any real significance…but still cool…
I’m thinking about working on the same design but on black..the colors really pop on black but it’ll take some work, so not sure if I’ll get around to it…

heres the shirt on black…didn’t take as long as I thought it might…
also added the center road lines, which I had left out before due to finishing right before the deadline and deleted the little curl at the top (looked too much like a clothes hanger or something)
oh yeah, I was also thinking about a little speech bubble or something from the little guy at top…just to work with the title a bit…but that might be a little too cutesey, haven’t decided yet…
if I do that then I’ll definitely resubmit as a new tee…
