You are really tuned in to the original stuff. The darkness is used very effectively. Gray on black captures the feeling of the beginning of the band, yet it speaks to today, also. The “paintpeel” effect does exactly what it’s supposed to do: invoke the roughness, the longevity and the street cred of these guys. It looks like “rock“s “roll“ed over their shiny “new” logo and the scrollwork and sunburst signal a new day dawning. This is the kind of great graphics that inspired great tattoos. As a matter of fact, I think that’s why I like this so much. It’s a great tattoo you can take off when you go on the job interview.
