Yeah — it could work either way, but “Say Uncle” is definitely part of the joke of this piece. My intent was to design a shirt that was a) stylish b) had attitude c) talked about the current state of life. “Say Uncle” can work as both a bold (optimistic) statement, or as an editorial about how tired we are of all the B.S. and economic depression around us.
