Agreed. An easy way to get punched in the eye by a stranger, especially if you’re in New York where you’re bound to encounter people who’s family members leaped to their death.
I think RobotTiger makes a good point…this does walk that fine line between artistic expression and intentional censorship. This design would have more merit in another, more objectively intentioned, artistic venue – such as a gallery, alongside other pieces designed with controversial images to make socio-political statements. Perhaps you are more geared towards working at other sites, like deviantart.com which has specific filters for political art and voice. I’m not going to judge this outright, or suggest that political imagery has not place in T-shirt design, but rather that you might have a stronger artistic voice in choosing the appropriate venue.
Getting a design like this onto a T-shirt where it could potentially do harm to actual people would be a misstep by DBH and I cannot see them ever accepting this for production.
