at least i would draw it in the same style of the monster.

I like this idea a lot and I think you could make it into a really cool design with a bit more work… like mbazil said what about drawing the astronaut out in a similar style? how about ditching the cliche circles on the monster and above for something more original?...just some thoughts, though I do like where you are going with this!
