i agree that the kerning feels too crowded especially for a tribute to a font. just keep the helvetica dot over the “i” and change it’s color to pink.
i’m wondering about the copyright too…but as a designer, i’d love to have one! i have a pantone tee with the pantone # for the tshirt color on the swatch, and i’m so sad that it’s getting worn out.
+1 cause i want this to be my new “i’m a designer so this is awesome tee”

there’s no “copyright” on helvetica as a trademark as far as I know. when you buy the font you buy rights to use it, it’s like stock art as far as I understand. but I’m not a lawyer :(
Just to let everyone know, the kerning is set the way it is to show off the font’s versatility. As I said, this design was made to honor the font, not to show off it’s basic look. Anyone could type out Helvetica in its basic kerning.
i love helvetica, every little bit of it. kerning doesnt bother me. neither does the pink thing. what bothers me is that this kind of shirt was already done too many times.
helvetica is awesome and that is why i vote. but as for originallity….
I’m not trying to hate or anything, but there are a lot of Helvetica tribute shirts out there. Some almost exactly like this. Just thought you should know, maybe you care, maybe you don’t.
Like I said in the description, Helvetica is probably the most widely used font. I, along with every other graphic designer in the world, am aware that there is more than one Helvetica shirt in existence.

I love helvetica so I’ll give it a +1, but there is no copyright to using the word?
i love helvetica also, love typos :D
If it’s a tribute to Helvetica you shouldn’t add that pink thingy, it’s not part of Helvetica.
And the kerning feels awkward.

There is no copyright on the word Helvetica. The word is Latin for Swiss.

sweet softly +1

good stuff, I like the tracking tight, kerning is a bit off though.
