You can use a photo to work from legally, but you must make it into something original unless you got the photographers permission. I like how this looks but I’m afraid it’s not altered enough to say it’s now something brand new. If you take a look at the red blue and white Obama illo by Shepard, that was based on a photo by a journalist but completely fair game because of all the work that went into it.
Sorry… I do like the placement, the color, but I think you need to take this further and resub it. By the way, your Obama design is solid!
