this is very close! “sloppiness” has its proper place in good art, but it has to be done tastefully and look like it was done intentionally. here, however, it just looks like laziness—a perception further evidenced by the dark marks at the vertices of the textured line. the birds, i think, are abstract enough that it doesn’t come off as “just another bird design”. generally, though, it’s not a good idea to “pitch in” on a prevalent design element due to its prevalence alone. the white bird needs to somehow standout more from the background—ideally, while leaving it white—and the edges on both birds ought not to be jagged. Perhaps you just did a color overlay on a stretched or low-resolution raster image of a bird, and that’s a fine first step. The next step, though, would be to outline the resulting shape with the pen tool so that you have a nice smooth abstract to use in your design. At any rate, the composition, placement, and style of your design are excellent, and I would definitely vote for, buy and wear a cleaner version of it! Right now, though, it’s just a very promising rough draft.
