i appreciate the emphasis on weight, particularly in regards to its relationship to the dichotomy between form and concept; the spatial relevance insists upon itself, and the color choice is especially tempestuous.

The Gothic spirit inherent in "hawks." is most strikingly evident in the contrast between the serene otherworldliness of the center section and the violence of the wings. The latter depict dark nightmarish scenes of brutality and degradation.
