I never know what to say! For me, it’s the worst part of posting but here it goes. This illustration started with my recent fascination with Oaxacan wood carvings, which led to Mexican folk art, and then to a Mexican folk song about a martyr – bandit during the Mexican Revolution. I wish the level of detail in the surrounding objects would have carried over into the hat. Maybe a houndstooth pattern? Other than that I really like the guns and roses alot. Voted.
