doutre: an all-over print would make the cost of the shirt skyrocket, and I don’t think that kind of thing would fit with the design. Currently, all-over prints are generally being done by urban and streetware labels, although it’s slowly diffusing to others.

This is cool. Odd, but cool.

I bet the DBH guys could pull off an all-over print of this design without it getting too pricey. Especially if the majority of the print was the single color space elements. But who knows…

Penelope: the only way I’ve heard of to do all-over prints is to either use a special belt printer to print the assembled garments or to print the fabric and then have it sewn into garments. I kind of doubt DBH have a belt printer (although that would be REALLY cool); if they do have access to one, though, I don’t know how they could keep the price down. And the other way requires pretty high minmums.

Officialy blown away by this. Amazing design. Excellent aesthetic and subject matter. Clever. Very clever.
