Soviet kitch is an art form, that is considered (at the time)minor, or like…..bad taste. by example the matrushka dolls from russia, now are highly appreciated, and the “luchador” movies from mexico.
I think the illustration is strong enough where you could either make it the only focus (no background) or make it larger – the combination of the lightning bolts and red white and blued reminds me of a cross between a Kiss and Grateful Dead… by the way, what’s a Soviet Kitsch? :D

i agree with kaizenick, the illustration is strong enough on its own, maybe making it bigger and without the background would make it stand out more.
