Remember way back when the sailors came to the "new world" and thought they saw mermaids but what they really saw were manatees. (They had been at sea for a very very long time, clearly.) That’s what this image is about.
Is the book about the soon to be out-going administration? Or is it instead a story of a man’s search for love in a quiet coastal canal in Florida with a transvestite manatee named Buster?
Twas the old-time aged rum that done it, Jim-ace! Once the sailors got a few snorts o’ that demon rum, those manatees looked mighty fine. Still happens to this very day at your local pub, mate!
I assume that you (rhino_comics) are basing your comments in actual real life experience, but that’s ok, no one on this site will judge you even as 1000s of site visitors will know just what kind of person you are!
I guess this shows what a sensitive soul I truly am. If any manatees or liquored up sailors were offended by my tasteless and crass comments I sincerely apologize… Course, there was that humid night on the deck, the salt in the air so thick it crystalized on your lips, when after a few pints of grog, I noticed a lovely glistening squid floating by the ship…

dear rhino comics,
this is yet another illustration of the perils that may befall he (or she) who embraces the demon rum, our harshest taskmaster.
