wotto: Sorry to be a dork; even though your design is really well done, the concept of angle wings and devil wings has been done way to many times in my opinion. Again sorry, I do love your work, so keep up the great illustrations.
I like that aside from the wings you have the birds on the front for that reason you have my vote, nice work.
Great idea on the inside / outside concept… but I feel like the whole angel / devil thing is played out – and while you may have drawn both sets of wings yourself, they seem without detail and don’t strike me as very different from anything else I’ve seen in your average tattoo shop. What about the STYLE of drawing makes these wings/birds yours? The Angel wings look droopy and tired, the devil wings look old and torn… they both need to feel glamorous while holding both angelic/devilish qualities. Sorry for the rant, I just think that the concept is BRILLIANT _ it deserves a lot of attention to detail.
I am aware that the idea of wings is not that new but I did this to allow the customer to have another choice. I’d like to think it allows individuals a chance to express themselves a little. After all DBH is in the business of selling t-shirts and I think this has a wide appeal. Its for 10k so I wanted to try something different. I respect all of your opinions and thanks for commenting.
I like the front, although I think you might want to bleed the design. But I am not very ‘wings’ person!! I think wings are kind of passé.
