The value of your colours along with the hues themselves don’t seem to mesh well with the skull figure or shirt base. Try many different colour variations and work with saddening those colours, or warmer schemes so not to be so harsh. Keep at it, and good work.

Something about this design is very interesting. Weirdness I think, although its missing something. Not sure what. Im digging the color choices of those tendrils. Maybe more of that?
i think i agree with seasalt. maybe you should try different variations of colors. also, maybe an abstract background?
