I guess ive seen the concept before…The black bird shirts…but now its DBH logo.

I think a sea green or something in the green green-blue/blue-green family would work with the design better than just black. Well, almost any colour could. You could also employ a gradient or have a monochromatic instead of achromatic scheme. There are a lot of possibilities with this shirt, and maybe you should seize those before it is too late. Peace.

I like the black, unless you use every color in the rainbow I think it’s silly to have these design by unity shirts in any color but black and white. If a design needs color it needs more work. That’s why I like this it could be any color you imagine it to be. If DBH printed this it would be cool to print in many different colors. Don’t get me wrong I’m a big fan of color but I feel the design by unity shirts should be all or nothing.

i like the idea of an all over print maybe add different color to show diversity and unity like it though

i did it in black and white cause from a business owners standpoint it is much more affordable to print in one color than multiple colors. This will appeal more from a roi standpoint, but I do get your logic- it would be cool with multiple colors and mixed media and that would be easy to incorporate if they wanted to do that.

This isn’t a design job, it’s a design contest. While the design has to be feasible and printable, it also has to be able to be sold. Even if the concept is solid, if the execution isn’t, that type of shirt probably won’t win. DBH has given you many options and parameters to work with in designing your shirt, 8 colours and specialty inks to start. If you use all 8 colours or want a gradient, they’ll still make a sizable profit and so will you if you win. You sell their design to them to sell to the public, but they won’t buy unless you present it well. If your design is more business savvy than aesthetically pleasing, haven’t you already alienated your core target and audience? I think this is what Downslope is trying to touch upon. You both have good points, so which one is right?

i’m all about the mixed media embellishment overload shirts believe me check out my fishers of men shirt, it’s pretty stretched as far as mixed media. this design has no more need of color i tried it will colors gradients and more and honestly black and white was the best hands down.
