About the Submission

This design is inspired by the iconic image of Huey P. Newton sitting on an African throne and holding a gun in one hand and a spear in the other. This version has an image of a skeleton in a Che Guevara style revolutionary uniform with a gun in one hand and a mic in the other. The throne is made of speakers and sit on top of a pile of garbage hip hop records. The message is basically a cry out against the ignorant, cookie-cutter, mainstream Hip Hop artists that are being churned out by major labels and promote negative images and stereotypes through the medium of hip hop. This design is an image of a hero-like, revolutionary figure that will come and save us by destroying these wack rappers and restoring balance to Hip Hop.
