Here in Michigan I am very familiar with this activity. my kids would collect them in anything they could find when we walked the beaches of the U.P. +1
I was in the Air Force at Kinchelo Air Force Base way Back
( Near Sault St Marie ). We used to get shells also in the UP. Small World. We sometimes went to Old Womans Bay in Canada to hunt Agates also. Great Memories.
