I like the presentation of the design, but I feel like the design itself needs something more. Perhaps if the shadows were in a different color than the shoes.

The “new version” with the shadow being a blue color looks great. I like that version a lot better than the original. Well done. Email the site and see if they will swap it out for the original.
I don’t know if I would wear this personally. But I think its really cool and wouldn’t make a bad T on someone else.
Suede would be so good for this! did you scan and then redo in illustrator? love it!
