This is my interpretation. It seems the red lines signifies the road of life, hour stay here. And the diagonal lines our interests, distractions and crossroads we encounter. Am I right?

The lines [all of them] do indeed represent the various criss-crossing roads of life, with all the tiny purple ‘faces’ representing us in our orderly working lives.
I actually didn’t have the diagonals down as anything different during the conception of the piece, tbh – but that’s actually a sweet interpretation, thank you!
