seriously, guys, like i said before what matters is how the shirt looks, and if people like it or not. judging by the number of votes, they do, and they dont seem to mind if it came from a tutorial.
okay, theres this other shirt on this site where the artist just put a public domain image on a shirt and all he did was do wonders on the placement. not one person said anything bad about it.
I don’t mean to put you down or anything, it’s just that copying (especially directly) from tutorials is generally considered tacky, and unoriginal. Many people would call this a straight rip-off. Just because you put it on a shirt doesn’t make it original in any way. You simply took the tutorial design and put it on a shirt template.
I mean no disrespect here. I just want to let you know that it’s not smart to do this in the future.
thats really mean, bkbroylerz. I wouldnt respond with name calling because I dont want to get into that. Whats so ‘gross and pathetic’ about this? Im not taking credit for this idea, and I sure as hell didnt steal it because they are giving it away to anyone. I didnt do anything wrong with this. Still, you have to give me credit for the idea of putting it onto a shirt. I havent seen a shirt design like this anywhere else. think first before you badmouth others, please.
im not saying it is bad that it is from a tut i was just asking because i thought i saw it somewhere, regardless, you completed this very well and you get extra cool points for not being cocky and saying that you are an amateur, im one to, i respect that nice job
i think it was an amateur move for you to follow tutorials. on the other hand, seeing that this shirt design has great potential and is ultimately what matters here… this one gets my vote…
i saw this link on a myspace bulletin and i gotta say this shirt is so cool! i signed up just now to vote for this. if this gets printed, im totally gonna buy this. how long will it take to get printed anyways?
to clear some stuff up, i am new to this digital art thing, that is why i followed the exact steps completely, but I did this artwork myself, and that was before i got the idea to put it on a shirt. Now that i have though, i think it looks really cool. Btw, I already read in their site that they allow for people to use the effects taught from their tutorials for their own purposes, so im not doing anything wrong by doing this.
