POSTERS OF MOVIES THAT NEVER WERE!
Experiencing a lag in ticket sales, legendary low budget movie production company Atomic Rocket Productions released "Canticle of the Dead" in 1962. It?s intended success rode on exposing the audience to an audio gimmick that was mixed into the soundtrack of the film. The sound was supposed to create a sensation of horror, but in actuality caused nausea and acute headaches with a handful of actual hospital visits documented during its release. These otherwise negative stories were used by executive producer Duster Long to drum up media attention, extending the film?s release schedule and bringing the production company back to profitability.
