About the Artist
TangYauHoong has 1 design in the running. This is the 1st winning design for TangYauHoong.
A surreal concept where there is a city of no horizon. I love how it looks on the shirt, endless flow of river towards bottom and infinite extension of sky towards top. Hope you like it too.
Thank you in advance for your vote and comment!

I want that one. That’s very unfortunate. I wouldn’t have bought this shirt if I knew it was going to turn out the way it did. It costed $25 and other than the other 2 shirts I bought from here, that’s the most I’ve ever spent on a T-shirt in my entire life. I really hope they reprint it in quality and give the customers what they paid for because after getting 1/3 prints being bad, I’m not sure if I’ll buy anymore shirts from here.
Don’t base your opinion on DBH on this one shirt. I have about 15 DBH shirts and they are all of very high quality. both the blank and the print. they are definitely better than most sites out there. but yes, this print was very disappointing.
You could be right. Maybe if I see one I really really like, I’ll buy it. But then again, this was my favorite design I saw here and it turned out bad. I do love the other 2 shirts I bought here though.
I can see how some would be disappointed since the screen print came out quite a bit different than the actual shirt design as originally presented by Tang, but I still think it’s an awesome shirt and still deserves praises.
I have this shirt.
I personally LOVE it.
be thankful for such a great design and that it got printed at all in the first place!
:]
Just to make things clear…
I fell in love with the design the second I saw it. I checked back every day of the 10k contest to see how it was doing and voted for it in every round. I have nothing bad to say about the design or the artist. I LOVE both of them!
The print is where the disappointment came in. Specifically for this design and DBH in general. As I’ve already said, I own about 15 DBH shirts and love every one of them. The blanks and printing are both very high quality and I’ve never had anything but praise for DBH and their awesome shirts. But this print is not up to DBH standards. It looks messy and faded. The blue is not bright like in the model pics and the clouds are not white.

I understand that sometimes there are mess-ups and with all over prints they can vary from shirt to shirt, but I emailed customer service and they told me all the shirts look like mine. I just don’t understand why if every other DBH shirt i’ve purchased looks exactly like the model picture, why can’t this one?
It seems to me like the it looks like the colors of the girl’s shirt on top. Either way I think it’s an awesome shirt!

just so you know in the future.. before DBH puts up the photos of the models wearing the shirts they edit them to be brighter. for example, check the umibozu shirt page – http://www.designbyhumans.com/shop/detail/5301?category=1&comment_page=6 the model photo looks washed out but the design looks decent when they show the unedited photo. unfortunately with this design the post work made the design look better on screen than in person, which is a shame.
I just received this shirt, and I think it’s awesome.
I did not see that boat on the bottom-left before I got the shirt myself, Plus points to that
keep up the good work :D

yeah, mine has a like a black line on the blue sky in the top left corner of the shirt. looks like a misprint. anyone else have the same?
Just recieved this shirt along with 2 other dark t-shirt designs (one black/one navy). All 3 have terrible faded print quality. They look nothing like the Photoshopped examples on the models.
Very disappointed as the designs are ace but all the shirts look like they’ve been washed 30 times.
still super disappointed with this shirt. spent $25 on it and will probably never wear it. I feel bad for Tang. I love your design man, but DBH did a crappy job with the printing.
I don’t think they edit the pic, they just use a higher exposure time or maybe open the aperture a bit wider to let more light from the flash in. These new model pics are brighter than the old ones too… unnecessarily brighter.

they can edit it in photoshop and get the same results as longer exposure or wider aperture. what they should be doing is making it so what you see is what you get, not what it is now.

Based on that photo I still want to buy this shirt.

same here; looks good to me.

Same here. I got my shirt weeks ago and still haven’t worn it yet. That turquoise color looks awful on me. I like to wear light blue but not turquoise. And like someone said, it looks like it’s been washed 30 times. I’ve checked back here almost every day hoping to hear some announcement about trading in our poor quality shirts for new quality ones but I guess that’s not going to happen. $25 down the drain.

Oh and shirt of the month. :D
Why make this SotM without a reprint?
You’re missing the 3 most common male shirt sizes, limiting the amount of males that can buy this shirt from you.
And apparently the print quality is highly lacking. So it could probably use a reprint.

Because it was just printed like 3-4 weeks ago? They don’t do reprints until it is further down the line.

Dood. The print looks bad ace. It adds depth…makes it look worn out. Don’t hate.

why do you want a brand new shirt to look worn out? this isn’t abercrombie.
Such a cool tee! But the print is so screwed up, what a shame :( I rarely buy from DBH anymore because the print quality on some tees is just inexcusably bad, and the ridiculous amount of emails you have fire off to get a reasonable response makes it hardly worth the effort.
Such a great design. The placement and everything really add up to a wonderful shirt! Congrats!!
anybody else receive this shirt with the inside somewhat glued together and had to peel it apart?
bucsdork99 said: anybody else receive this shirt with the inside somewhat glued together and had to peel it apart?
yup that has something to do with the printing process, you really need to was it first:) most of my shirts are like that:)
Hello everyone, amazing shirt yes, but the reason the shirt on the model looks so poppin’ and the one floating around this comment section looks so flat is the lighting and post processing. The the photographer they use is good, does clean work, but the final images don’t represent the product, they are “to good”.

Exhibit A

Exhibit B
(hope i coded those right)
after a little photoshop (source file wasn’t the best, couldn’t do much better) you see what happened. This sorta thing happens all the time, but isn’t very good business ethics.
