yeah, its been a long time coming :)
I already have 3 or 4 bird shirts and they are popular, match my tattoo, and get good feedback when i wear them; however on this you can’t tell if they are actually birds or not.
Just looks like a blob of stuff in the middle, but the top and bottom you can make the birds out. To bad i really like the color choices. Maybe next time, congrats on winning regardless!

Uh, vision problems? I don’t see how those look like anything besides birds.

Yeah, I agree. I mean I can see that the top and bottom part is obviously birds but the middle part? Blobs.

i can see what both of you guys are saying, and i agree to some extent. could of it been better? anything could be better. heck, collision theorys 10k winner from last year could of been better, and hes at the top of his game. we can all do better. as an artist you strive for 100% but on a good day youll get 98-99%. you cant be perfect.
i could of outlined the birds so that they wouldnt of looked like a ‘blob’, but i felt that would take away from the design – i wanted this to be abstracted, where you see colours and shapes first before seeing whats actually there. im all for realism (or perhaps a more clear look) but this design wasnt meant for it. some of my other designs have more realism to them, so are more abstracted, i kind of like to play with both and mix them together. my blue leaves design is a perfect example of realism and abstraction mixed together.

I find the design very interesting as is. However, I am not sure about the red t-shirt. Any chance at a color option? I usually go for darker, more subdued colors.

perhaps in the future if this shirt sells out and gets reprinted theyll offer it on a grey? that would be kinda cool, and i honestly didnt even think of offering that option till now.

I am a fan of bright colors too, although this color is a bit odd. I still really like the shirt and design tho! I would get it if I had the money!
Nice job man! Don’t ever defend your design. It won, that’s the only defense it needs. Besides kiddies, DBH is about printing art, not tee-shirts. Get those at Walmart. Art is subjective. Not everyone will dig it and the great thing about it, is that it will invoke a feeling, good, or bad and that’s the main objective of art. Kick ass Asher!

a lot of people on here have compared my design to yours, saying yours is better. im proud of my work and all, but yours is better cause its clever design wise. mine just looks cool haha!
im gonna have to get your red riding hood shirt when it reprints.. such a sick design, really pushing the bounds of t shirts.

its because birds are awesome when theyre not pooping on your head! and, if you wear this shirt and they happen to poop on your shoulder no one will be able to tell! :)
heres some other designs of mine that are birdless that you might like some more – go vote for them if you do! blue leaves and I turned into a tree.

Birds sometimes offer you a feeling of confidence, with this recession going on…having a ton of birds lifting you can sometimes be helpful:) because its a symbol of freedom, carefree and getting high! hehehe just my POV :) but hey it’s a cool shirt so why not try one and let the experience tell you:)
