This would be excellent if the word bubble and text had the same hand-done feel as the rest of the bird. I’m all for mixed styles, but fonts especially always jar me if used against the organic feel of hand-done art.

the font and stroke type of the thought bubble just don’t match. they’re lacking the hand quality that makes this so wonderful.

thanks for the suggestions, but the juxtaposition of these two styles is something i like about the design. I would like to try one that way as well.
I like the juxtaposition of the cartoony looking word bubble and the detailed bird. Makes it a little funnier somehow. Not digging the color though. I’d love to see this with the shirt light blue and the bird colored in.
