This is really cool, but with placement the way it is you really need to cover more. Also, get away from the white background and go with something that looks a little more like old paper. That should do the trick I think in making this piece come to life. I do really like the artwork and I think on that part you’ve outdone youself, so I’m going to give you the vote for that.

im tired of shirts like this that all have this vagueness about them so that they look more stylish than bold. Y’know, the writing you can’t really read written fancily, the images behind the main image thats all blurred and similair in color to the background, arbitrary lines and numbers and all of this abstraction that has become some kind of chic abercrombie thing. I noticed this has been a tendency more and more on this site, and i don’t like it.

Jacksadullboy: Sure, this design has a popular style we’ve seen before in various forms, incorporating all these elements you mentioned. But just because you don’t like it, doesn’t mean you have to bitch about how it doesn’t fit your personal taste. It may not be the most original, freshest t-shirt design in the universe, but it’s not a bad design. On the contrary, it’s actually quite nicely designed (it has different parts composed together with intentionality, and at least it’s got some original hand-drawn elements, as opposed to 100% stock clip art slapped together, which is usually the case with this style). Let the man enjoy his win. Congrats, artchool.

The sketch is extremely well done, and I like the pen ink feel of it, but this is just too reminiscent of a Hollister/Abercrombie/etc shirt for me. It’s probably just the placement and the random illegible words faded behind the design, but it looks a lot like the hundreds of shirts they slap together a day using only stocks. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not bashing you. My opinion only.
