Since we’re all definitley free to our own opinions,.. pardon me for the following…
I like that you used black and orange for this,.. because it would be like some scary Halloween nightmare if he actually won the presidency.
Ok, thanks.
A good vector nonetheless.
“stop politicizing an amazing shirt that does not express support but merely commemorates an important event in american history: the first viable black candidate for president.”
im sold. :)
YES
YES YES YES
i never thought this would get printed. love it so much. i have a feeling i’ll be ordering more than 1 down the line.
I wish the models wouldn’t hold the sides of the shirt. It gives a false persona that the shirt is close fit. These shirts are def. not close fit. BUT with that out of the way, GOOD PICK DBH. this is going to be so unique for all those obama fans, like myself. corgrats
vTweak’s comment above = win.
it’s a good portrait, although I’m not sure about Obama. but yeah, it shouldn’t even be about the politics. I just wish DBH had done 2 shirts in one day (one for mccain) to keep it a neutral site. would’ve been better taste.
the color scheme could have been a bit better though.
hmm… if you want to really send a true PRO PEACE message, one that is of a true underdog status and for the average person – PRINT RON PAUL. I’ll make the shirt myself.
ahaha do any conservatives here complaining about not having a mccain shirt realize how disgusting a giant print of john mccain would look
it doesn’t have to be the same design as this if it were a mccain shirt. I’m sure someone could think of a pleasant way to represent mccain. [i’m not conservative btw, I just think it would be in good taste to represent both candidates equally]
Go-bama and all, but being Canadian I cannot see myself wearing this. Love the shirt though, keep em’ coming!
it would’ve been in better taste to have a mccain shirt to keep this site neutral? thats seriously one of the most ridiculous things i’ve ever heard. this is a t-shirt site, not msnbc.com.
I’m pretty sure winning is based on votes. The t-shirt has no association to the site.
Awesome shirt. And please, for the love of my eyes, don’t make a McCain one. Gobama!!
Some idiots can’t help but politicize everything, kind of what’s wrong with your country atm.
Surprised there hadn’t been a good shirt for him w/his image yet, with all the countless other things for such.
Wooo! not only do i love the shirt, i too think Obama is fantastic! OBAMA 08!!!!
Some comments mentioned how we should’nt bring politics into this, but i think the artists on here are free to use any subject that inspires them. & with Obama, how can you not be inspired by a man who accomplished & wants to do so much to better our country. Politics might be harsh at times & you may think there’s no place for it here, but its simply unavoidable. Politics is a very important thing in any society. Its how us, humans, come together to help create a better place to live.
& hey, the shirts on here, are afterall, designed by humans.
Reasons I hate politics. DING DING. I love designbyhumans but really. I don’t enjoy being fed peoples political opinions in every thing I’m a part of.
I dunno, doesn’t really do anything for me. Not shoddy work but there are other designs I would have rather seen (and be able to wear). Sure the voting wasn’t influenced by politics even a little bit?
cool shirt, aesthetically; visually. (Tough to imagine aesthetics apolitically here but anyways…)
(NB @ nodirectionhome: watch it with the hasty generalizations about Texas :-p There are plenty of “ways of being” in Texas, as there are in California (even SoCal, where you are from, I see).
Lovely lines and awesome red-orange hues. I’m always a sucker for firey colours =)
why would you buy this shirt, when there are a ton of obama shirts that actually donate the profits back to obama? this is no better than those dudes making iron on obama shirts and selling them on the streets. dumb
nits

I totally agree. It’s like putting a I heart New York shirt up. You can buy them anywhere. who the heck wants to buy it online?
Good Portrait though.
Wow, a healthy number of comments for this one – I wonder why, hmmmmmm? Frankly, as a T-shirt design this one really stinks – way too garish for my taste – what is with the ORANGE shouting at me? I just can’t imagine too many people wearing this one…
I am sorry, I would not wear this shirt ever. This man is not ready to lead the country.. and in my opinion will never be! cool illustration/style though.
i am 1000% sick of Obama shirts, they are in every store in Boston, and New York. i’m trying to get over my seething hatred for the subject matter(because everyone is head over heels in love with someone that should wait and try to make another bid at the presidency in 15 years) and look at the art, but i don’t know if it’s that or if i really just don’t like the shirt and the facial/color treatment?
congrats on the win though.
i should make a Ron Paul one.
Thanks for the positive comments and constructive criticisms.
True, the head was printed far larger than I intended it to be and the colors are far brighter than the original artwork. Not sure why they made those changes but it’s DBH artwork now.
first of all, nothing against the designer, great design.
but MOST of all, FAIL DBH!!!!
picking sides? REALLY??? and the wrong side to boot.
no more pepper money for you!
Picking sides? It’s not Design by Humans job to be politically neutral…it’s their job to print shirts that will sell and appeal to people…and by all accounts the majority of people like him over McCain, so why wouldn’t they?
regardless of whether or not polls are crap…barack obama has a huge and dedicated following, so DBH would be stupid to NOT print an Obama shirt.
@markw1
no big deal man, please try to remain civil huh?
i know, i know, that seething teenage angst just getting the better of you, it happens. i forgive you. obama forgives you. amen.
Boo-urns. I like this site because the designs are usually quite artistic and the meaning of them is very rarely black-and-white, as is true of any decent art. Now we have a shirt with a political candidate on. How literal can you get? Seriously lame, even though the portrait is well-done and I’m most likely going to vote for the man. Way to bring the tone down.
omg i can’t believe this won and yes i agree why bring politics to this site. i would never where a neo con piece of shit on my shirt.

Vote for Aman every day :) Nice shirt
