Emm i was messing about with a photocopier and a beanie and this awesome design came out. I scanned it, and did this to it!

dude congrats on the win, but, i have to say, this just isn’t really much work compared some of the other stuff on here. maybe votes dont really count for anything..
but nonetheless legit shirt, god knows i’d want to win shirt of the day.

Congrats, simple, effective and wearable design. Not everything needs to be super intricate and illustrated.
This must be “art” because I don’t understand it as much as design. Surely there’s deeper meaning that one can explain to friends inquiring of the art.
Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best, photocopying a random hat in a library = genious.
visually it looks nice on a shirt, it doesnt have to mean or be anythig, aesthetically it works.
Id rather rock this than some played out skulls and lions from a style biting illustrator. Original thinking, ..try it some time.
Its cool if its a brand like Diesel,Lindberg or any other fashion tee.
But as far as i see DBH print nice illustrations and some experimental designs.. but what is this ? lines that make no sence..
Design Stripes are fun at least makes tee almost 2 colored.
Migratory Pattern has lines but at least its makes somekind of shape.
So what the **** is this ?
If you want to rock this why dont you go to any Walmart target or any other mall and buy something like this .. White shirt with random lines..

And in the name of god : why this is 24$ when multicolored jumbo prints with REAL illustration are usually 19$ ???

How can someone say this isn’t a cool shirt? Like 15minutes said, it’s a nice difference from the skulls, lions, gorillas, birds, and trees we always see.
I don’t get the ?’s I like it and it looks great on a girls tee.
Just like the people saying this isn’t art are wrong, so are the people who are blindly defending it. as fellow artists we all have the right to not like something. unfortunately this is one that i’m not particularly fond of.
I actually think it makes a great girls shirt, I just wouldn’t want the design as a mens shirt
this comment thread is a clear indication of art’s subjectivity..it’s definitely a matter of preference..some designers get lucky..some don’t..one man’s trash is another man’s treasure..plus, there are a lot of things to consider as well..(printing cost, aesthetic appeal of the design, etc..) bottomline is that SOTD was awarded to krisk. he deserves to enjoy this…congrats, brah!
wow I guess I’m a little late on the drama… hah. I had the same impression too when I just saw this, but ya know, there have been other ones that make me think the same thing. It’s fresh and a good change from the ridiculous illustrations that have one recently, like that casa-whtever guy. It gets old seeing the same person win OVER AND OVER. :D congrat brotha.
You can not like my design, but do not say “ridiculous illustrations” please…

hipauliee: if “ridiculous illustrations” means intricate elements/layers, more than just one dimensional scribbles done on a tablet with cliched swirls, then yes, they’re “ridiculous.”

Simple is where it’s at! Most of the stuff this site prints is way too gaudy and tacky. Congrats to DBH on picking a stylish design now and again. Congrats to the designer for making this sweet shirt.

totally agree with LukeLukeLuke.. at first glance.. every T-shirts here seem to be so cool and different.. with all these flashy illustrations..(they are indeed great pro. illustrations) yet after a while.. they really bore you.. cuz they become so repetitive and bold most of the time.. personally.. i feel that a good design gotta stand out from the norm.. and this one definitely separates itself from many other T-shirts.. with a subtle elegance to it
its a shame people have to hate on this design…does it really have to mean something!? NO! Its creative and simplistic!
So I bought this for my boyfriend as one of his Christmas presents and the colors are WAY better in person, very vibrant and interchanging. This shirt looks amazing in real life!
Did anyone else’s shirt come in with some sort of weird sticky residue on the inside? Like I tried it on when it came in, and I was like “Wtf?” So I washed it, but then I guess the residue sort of dried up and made tiny ball things on the inside…… I got most of the little balls off, but there are still some in there that make the shirt a little uncomfortable to wear. =/
