this design is nice as a club invite or a poster..but as a t-shirt..i’m not so sure…not that it matters anyway. It’s gonna get printed.
I don’t know if this is feasibly print-able, given the nature of inks.
Sorry, I should explain myself. What I mean is that if you look at some t-shirt designs, especially designs on black, they tend to lend themselves to flat colors with simple cell-shaded gradients, because so far as I know it’s hard to acheive smooth gradients and color transitions with plastisol ink and silkscreen. There are some alternative inks and processes, but I don’t think they work well on black.
Please correct me if I’m wrong, because I’m trying to learn more about production!

yeah, depending on the silkscreening process lot definition is lost comparing to offset process, I would print this on discharge process as it support better resolution screens.

could this ever really be printed? there is so much color and shadowing and differents hues…etc. i vtd i was your 300th vote, i’m not bashing your work or anything and didn’t want to start drama. i wonder because my aunt has a tee printing shop, small local one, and i’ve done some designs for her and she can do 8 color seps but this seems like it’d be a 40 color sep, idk,lol.

421 votes? Yes it’s a great piece. But on a t shirt? I think 421 people on here have lost their minds. That or a shit load of fake accounts have done a great job.
If this doesn’t print (insert potentially annoyed comment here).
But DBH usually takes a good bit to decide a design is printworthy… considering only 5 a week can be chosen, they have to make sure the guys who got a ton of votes a few weeks back get their prints in first…
hence why this hasn’t printed yet
(unless there are a ton of fake accounts I don’t know about).
Also, that’s what I keep telling myself for my Piano design. Oh well maybe?
These votes have to be a result of designer popularity. I guess that’s the downside of community. Honestly, this looks like it should say “back to school!” have some splayed pencils and be worn by a five year old.
i kinda agree with boxelder, i dont see whats all the fuss about this, it looks tacky to me, not trying to be negative but i think this is a hyped up submisson just because of the artist, who has awesome stuff (much cooler than this) just my opinion though, i voted anyways cus i wanna see it hit 500 :p

Yes it has. The only difference is that one says small rather than bold. Go on Gomedia and see the same design.

This shirt has not been printed. What you saw on the Go Media site is just a mockup. It’s got the same t-shirt template as a lot of other designs on our site.
The only time this design came close to being printed was my friend Jimmy experimented a bit and printed off a sample. Thats’ it.
You guys can’t really be that stupid. The design on the Go Media website is a MOCK. It hasn’t actually been printed, why do you think Jeff is posting it here? SO IT WILL GET PRINTED. Oh and Jbitch? Come on, you can’t think of anything better than that? Maybe you had a glass of stupid with your morning bowl of FAIL.
