About the Artist
akoelle has 5 designs in the running. This is the 3rd winning design for akoelle.
This would be a two-color (black and red-orange) big, all-over print like in the pics. It’s all original hand-painted ink work. For both guys and girls, of course!

I think it would be a nice book cover but I dunno bout shirt. Those saying the girl’s placement is better….dunno. The hand really looks like it is reaching up and grabbing her….you know.
yaaay :D congrats, great shirt :) maybe it’s better for girls, but for boys it’s cool too ;) congrats, hope, it’ll be a “best seller”
oh dear, i was a little afraid of this happening. . .but thank you all for the congratulations!
if i wore this shirt people would come up to me and say, " NO SHIT APPLE STARTS WITH A"
errr hope I didn’t come off like a jackass. I was just saying I like the guy’s placement more since they sort of moved the hand to the left on the girl’s shirt.
Congrats. This is a simple elegant design. I dare say it, but less is more. This is deserving t of today, so congrats again.
Sorry adolf but I’d buy this far before your cliché designs.
Also think about your target audience for a site like DBH. People here tend to be the more artsy types and like to wear things that are decidedly different.
i can’t wait towear this shirt. another fabulous win for you! i think the placement is fine…
The placement is strange for both cases because it seems sexual either way. However, the girls placement is better.
fantastic design once again. i’m wearing squid count right now, congratulations.
umidity, you’re an idiot.
umidity is indeed a jerk
this is probably one of the best designs I’ve seen on DBH in a long time.
I am disappointed about the hand’s location on the womans tee though as my wife is a teacher and I would have loved to have purchased this for her.
oooh – this is supercool! very nice work.
umidity – it seems you have pissed a couple of people off. why don’t you leave this community? you don’t add anything to the mix.
Not a fan of this one with either men’s or woman’s placement. The location of the leaves on the men’s shirt leaves me cold, and the hand placement on the woman’s shirt is fairly suggestive. And all-in-all, it is not a great design – not much there. But, it has been selected for a print, so congratulations to you…
wow, i didn’t know i had such a talent for stirring up so much controversy. . .
I like controversy. U should smile akoelle.
I like this design, cept for the hand placement. And your Squid Count is by far my favourite tee in my DBH collection. I always look forward to wearing it.
That hand looks like it’s growing right out his crotch. I love the subtext of Eve and the apple, but the inference of evil from the crotch is just a bit too obvious.
Great design akoelle!
I’ve been looking for a t-shirt that is simple, yet still “different” than what’s currently out there; this design is exactly what I need!
Superb design which I had to send back because of the hands slightly perverted placement. It broke my heart as this was the t-shirt I was most looking forward to owning. BUT I am a teacher and you just don’t want to give the kiddies any ammunition (teenagers live for this stuff).
I do love your work and have bought all the other designs. I need more!
You can tell an artist has really done their job when their work causes so much talk and controversy. Take it as a compliment – because that’s exactly what it is. I love this design. You obviously have real talent. Congrats!
REALLY love the concept, but the placement of the hand on guy’s is a bit too weird… it will be much better if it’s more to the right (not centered). Wear this shirt can cause embarrasment, now… should I buy it?…
Anywho, good work! Congrats
Okay I bought it and I LOVE IT. The placement of the hand actually more to the right on the actual shirt :) LOVE IT Thanks akoelle

beautiful print, congrats!
