@lamborghini
I think the rejection was due to altering the logo too much in the first, maybe too many colors in the second (you’re limited to 4 for an all over design) and the last one may be your portrayal of the characters on a playground with a talking bubble. Otherwise thay are all very well designed. A few tweaks would make them acceptable I assume.

@ erc94aea: 6th – 10th place winners will have the option to sell their designs to DBH, which means, I would assume, they would likely be printed if you opted to do so.

@ lamborghini: The first design I see two problems with: #1. Like PatM23 said, you may have altered the logo too much. #2. One shirt has Batman in the background while the other has Bane. That’s like two designs on one entry. I’d say that would be the more likely reason…

Designs 2 and 3 I think might just need better placement; they seem a little low on the shirt and probably not big enough for DBH standards. Personally, I like the first one the best. I would try to alter the bat logo to look more like the official one (Maybe download the official logo file at the top of this page under section 1 of Contest Guidelines) and choose either the Bane design or the Batman one. ;)

...and don’t listen to PatM23! Vote for MINE instead! ;)

Hi! Can you guys help me with my doubt. I can not figure out why (both) of my designs was rejected. All the elements where designed by myself. All the love was generated from my heart. Let me know.

Peace,

Here they are:

Batman Rises 1

pupa pupa Human from Slovenia

@lopezvarona: Designs might be too clean and simple, maybe using some brushes to get a more artistic appearances woul not hurt. But you could also email them and ask for the reason of rejection.

@ccink The flame under the bat logo is fantastic. I hope that one makes it in.

@RL2VAS Thanks, me too..if not, I’ve still got the Bane portrait that made it in..no complaints, this is has been an excellent contest and an honor to have even been considered. So many great entries!

JEDSTER JEDSTER Artist from California, United States

Honestly, sometimes I dunno why some designs got rejected when it’s purely done originally by the artist versus alot of the entries where people just steal images off the net and put a little effects on it here and there and got accepted.

It’s a f^*king joke man.

adamwham adamwham Artist from New York, United States

I’m having issues submitting my design. I load the thumbnail and art and placement and do all the info yet it doesn’t actually submit once I’ve done all that. I click submit and nothing happens. Anyone else experience this?

RafaelMagat RafaelMagat Artist from Philippines

Hi, I submitted my design last Wednesday and I’m wondering why I haven’t gotten an e-mail telling me if it was accepted or rejected, and I know it was sent since I got a confirmation e-mail. Thanks.

@adamwham Make sure you check the “accept terms” box and if there is more than one option for contest choice, make sure dark knight is selected.

last time i’ll shove this into your faces, i swear:

“So we can learn to pick ourselves up again” is a simplistic, gritty interpretation of Batman’s momentary fall and path of rediscovery and triumph, while in the present time, Bane reigns over Gotham City. I know it’s not like the other enormously detailed designs, but votes, comments, etc would be nice. +1 for me is a +1 for you guys :]

Got three rejections…! minimum quality criteria…... does that apply to me only..??!!. it seems have not been applied on the
shirts in voting pool….....!!!!!! m done making designs…..

JustPetrucci JustPetrucci Artist from Washington, United States

@ adamwham: If you’ve tried checking the box that states that you accept the terms and agreements, it might be your files. (I know mine were having problems when I would submit too.) After you hit the button to choose which file to upload, does it attache right away or just continuously spin as if it’s loading? If it never says it’s attached with a checkmark next to it, try renaming the file. It seemed like it didn’t like long file names…

@ RafaelMagat: If you’ve gotten a confirmation email, you just have to wait for the acceptance or rejection. The rejection will come from DBH within a few hours to a day. A Warner Bros. rejection won’t come for about a week. But an acceptance letter will not be sent until your design is posted, which takes about 8-9 days.

@ dharakk: That’s the rejection notice EVERYONE gets. (I got it a few times too…)
Just email them back via the email address in the rejection email (*art@designbyhumans.com*) and ask what the reasons are it was rejected. And then just revise it and resubmit BEFORE WEDNESDAY!!

AND TO EVERYONE ELSE: I have designs up too. Bam.
...and bam 2
