Hey just stopping by to say I checked your work and I think you have some good ideas…that said I think placement becomes something that should be paid closer attention to as well as presentation, you only have a few seconds to grab ones attention, and I would be weary of using too much type because words tend to make a piece very literal very quickly and can sometimes overshadow the imagery…(just like I wish I wouldn’t have used the name of the movie Bullitt on that shirt I made now that I think about it)....just my 2 cents
I have just been looking at your designs and you have some interesting ideas! I will say that maybe you have to look at integrating your designs onto the tee a little better (eg not having your designs bounded by a square – there are very few designs if any here that have been printed like this).
I also saw that thestray posted this on one of your designs:
thestray said: Hello, and welcome to the site, I’d suggest picking up some design books from your local library, honing your craft with natural media (pencil and paper, paint, etc) and also taking a look at printed shirts here and elsewhere to get a sense of what works on a t-shirt. Good luck.
I would recommend this. There are also plenty of good photoshop tutorials on the web that may help you broaden your techniques.
If you need any specific help with your designs post them in the WIP thread or drop me a line (though I’m still learning I will try my best to help)! Sorry about the essay :D
