hey, yes, it’s illustrator and i also rarely start my works on a paper. i assume you work on paper first judging by the complexity of some of your drawings?

hey luke have you experimented with watercolors on your designs? Your design style is perfect for watercolor.

I was actually planning on incorporating watercolor sometime. I’m new to photoshop tho so I’m having a little trouble figuring it out haha. If you know of a tut out there I can use or if you can give me some pointers I’d really appreciate it!

thanks for the honesty…I think..the thing to remember is that I am not trying to maintain a single style to appeal to only one kind of audience. I think good design involves reaching a broad demographic and while many people have commented that they don’t like that design just because it is another dragon blowing a flame, there are others who connect with it and yet others who see the style in between since it was not a typical dragon shirt.

oh, and just to be fair, I am not the kind of person to go to designs I don’t like just to comment that I don’t like them;)

cool, I am glad you understand. I am all for people writing what could make it better and what they think would appeal to people more. Comments like that make sense, that is why I like the way designbyhumans works with votes and not a star system. Like the comment they say next to the vote button “Click the button below if you would like to see this design printed. If not, head back to the gallery or better yet, submit your own!”.....anyway, thanks for the support thus far, you work is starting to look like great chances of being printed

yeah. I like the forum thing…so that designers wont “chat” on those comment pages. =)
