the only courses they give in my high school are the ones that show you how to use photoshop but all year they teach just how to fix the contrast and color of a picture..,,
i recently found out i like to mess with ink and water color,my favorite part about art class,but i have no way of scanning them,and even if i did i lack the skill to make them look good in photoshop and all that

you do illustrations for books??thats cool.,my art teacher always telling me i should do illustration books for children becasue theres something dr.seuss like in my drawings and the bright colors i choose to paint with,but

mhmm i like to draw on paper a lot but idont know how to tranfer it into the computer and make it look good.,,

You just started this year using illustrator? Vector drawing is using vectors in illustrator yes, we had to make a room on illustrator using vectors..it was a 2D picture of a room we designed. It wasn’t easy.

Vector drawing? If you mean drawing something with the use of vectors in Illustrator then yes loll Unless I’m wrong on what it means. I learned how to use Illustrator this year and has some fun with it.

Thank you very much. It’s great to hear from other artists. I think my drawing skills are better than my photoshop skills. Illustrator i’m getting the hang of. But over the past 2yrs i’ve been looking at graphic design..so i’ve been working on my photoshop and illustrator skills. And something i really need to work on is “vector drawing”. Have you done that?

Honestly, I can’t give you much advices. I think it’s all about trial and error. You start with an idea, you work on it, but then you try different way of expressing it. Since photoshop and Illustrator have a wondeful thing called “layers” well you need to use that to the upmost. Also, look at other designs. That’s a key tool in my opinion. I started using photoshop 5-7 years ago and what I did was really bad, BUT I thought it was good cause it was better than someone else’s work. And then I found someone even better so I polished my skills until I got his level and surpass him, etc. etc. But I’m not a pro yet lol
and If I use photoshop it’s cause I suck at drawing haha

8 more days and i’m no longer a teen :P

I’m in an art school, and i’ve been working on my photoshop skills and also illustrator. Are there any tips you could give me on designing? My drawing skills are improving after 2 xtra yrs of highschool. You could say grade 14 (i hate saying that lol) but then next year i plan to go to college for graphic design :)

My thing is photoshop and design.
I’m not as good at drawing so yeah, but actually I’m always trying new things that’s why some of work sucks as much as some are good in my opinion.
