I agree with you.. That somehow or in some ways the designs should be in connection with the theme..I Just comment here So people will not think Im promoting my entry…

I like a lot of what you have to say in the forum. It bugs me too when all people do is just vectorize some artwork (Hokusai’s wave being a great example) or just slap some public domain artwork, add some text and fiddle with colors, and call it a day. There’s no imagination, skill or creativity involved in things like that.

Hope you do well here at DBH! And keep speaking your mind, designers need to hear this kinda stuff.

yeah, when i read the story of your entry i was kind of feeling sory for the efforts you invested year ago to create this. From artistic flair side, just like many others says, dont let it down and never give up, you have the skills and you need to continue with your creations as there are very less number of artists that uses similar techniques as yours. I am going to make you one of my Hümans and add you to my friends list :-)…good luck on DBH (dont forget to participate in the daily contests, i see your work has great potential to get a lot of votes).

Hey, I’ve been reading some forum posts and I like the way you think. That whole Recreations VS original work is a very important issue for me too. I wouldn’t want DBH to be in trouble because of that.

Me and my friends were laughing that they were so drunk that they couldn’t recognize whats on the designs LOL and indian is an indian hehe, black hole is a… Tennesse? LOL
Anyway I still love them! :)
Me and my KOL friends will wear dirty belly to the KOL concert, it will be FUN if we all make it to the first row, and they’ll see us in this shirts hahahaha

what are you talking about this IS my original idea! You keep thinking that I bastardized my design to suit other people opinions and you’re wrong.

People WILL vote for a design they like regardless of how many times they may have seen it or critiqued it so that is not the problem…

this design was buried about 2 pages back when I got the email that it was approved so it’s either that or the DBH community simply doesn’t care for it…it’s embarrassing because it’s the lowest vote count I’ve ever received but oh well!

I’ll get my DBH print someday :)
