Hey I just posted my second design here on DBH, for the Fleetwood Mac contest. I still don’t know a lot of people on here and with the new site I can’t figure out how to browse all artists…? If you wouldn’t mind swinging by and checking out my new design I’d appreciate it, and please feel free to give me some feedback and/or vote.
Thanks!
I agree, and normally I would have taken the comments from “Mertos” in stride but he caught me on a really bad day and I overreacted. He wasn’t critiquing me so much as attacking me by sarcastically mocking a voters comment and accusing me of generating fake votes I didn’t deserve, that I did take offense to.
have no problem with critiquing and if you happened to read any of my ridiculous rant I even pointed out that is the great thing about DBH, is the opportunity to receive critique from designers with more experience than yours. So I welcome critique in hopes of using to better myself as a designer. In regards to your comment I was genuine in asking what was low quality about it? I was looking for more specific feedback. Is it the resolution, the concept of the design, the overall design itself? I designed with paintnet, since I have neither photoshop or illistrator, so that may be part of my problem, I am not sure.
thanks, I appreciate the advice. Yeah the stretched logo was a mistake and before I even realized the deadline had passed. I had stretched the statue to try and fit the whole design on the t shirt template because it was wider than I anticipated, and I like the elongated look and perspective it gave it, but I didn’t realize it has also stretched the logo as well, I was to anxious to get it in. I wasn’t sure about the pixilated look either but ended up sticking with it. The shirt just seemed to plain with all that empty black space so I put the pink clouds to counteract that and give it some pop , I thought is was a good contrast with the black, and pink and teal always seem to mesh well together..
Any suggestion for something else to do with the background?? I didn’t want to use any kind of splash effect etc. because it seems over done and I like more of simple, clean crisp look rather than the overdone messy Affliction type stuff.. but that is just my personal preference
Hi! Welcome 2 DBH!
