Nothing yet. I don’t think it will do well on contest sites, so I think I’ll just keep waiting to see if anybody wants to buy it, or just sell it myself one day.

thanks for the comment.:) i agree about what you said. my designs were kinda bit sensitive if you first look at it. but my point here is that i really wanna show my version of Japanese soldiers. what if they just want to have fun instead of fighting? I really love Japan and their culture. and that made me come up with this idea that i thought would help change the perception of the people about japan. but i think i was not able to explain it properly or justify what really is my point about making this kind of piece. that results to failure. maybe soon, i’ll try to make something that has a more sense and something that would not offend people. maybe safer work.;)

yeah i personally im not offended at all because i really looked at the shirt as well as the description. but think of someone walking down the street seeing someone wearing this for a few seconds – they will completely misread the idea and possibly become offended. perhaps making your humour more obvious design wise would help this issue, i dont think necessarily that ‘safer’ work is the best option. you have some pretty unique ideas you just need to execute the concept better.

yeah sometimes you need to just take a step back to see the big picture, like a painting. i personally love japanese influenced stuff by the way, i just thought the subject matter was potentially offensive to those who would just glance at the design.

thanks:) yeah i replied to horus’s nasty comment… but then i realized that the link he gave to voe for was not even his own, but a friend of his. rather than add fuel to some idiots fire i decided to delete the post. pretty much, i called him an asshole and said that its not like his work is so great he can put other peoples down. except, in a much nastier tone!

as for your design… theres a lot going on it, id say a little too much. it also has a very ‘filtered’ look to it, like cutout/threshold/live trace if illustrator. those are very hard to make look good as more experienced designers have a very trained eye and spot them in no time, and generally wont vote because of it. also, the purple is an uncomfortably bright shade, especially with the bright blues and cyans. they actually look like they might not even be in the printable spectrum (design in CMYK for more accurate colour). also, the subject matter of your design isnt terribly universal, which is probably why its not getting a ton of votes. i think your design would be better suited as a personal work than one for other people to buy.
