Right. Like I said somewhere in that giant thread, I totally agree with him that copyrighted works shouldn’t be used unless you have a clear title to use it (and back to the original point of the thread, people should read and abide by the rules DBH posts – but DBH also has duties and liabilities too).

Beyond that though, he got all preachy, he was trying to be the police of DBH, he was being extremely arrogant, and his view of the online art and design world and people who should be able to participate was extremely narrow and the exact opposite of what I imagine places like DBH are trying to facilitate. Not to mention he couldn’t actually show anyone one single thing he’s specifically done outside of DBH to try and give himself any credibility for why he should get to run his mouth like he did.

It looks like he’s given up or taken a break from “policing” DBH, at least for now.

thanks for your first comment and wrighting back to my comment to you. i have honestly never been apart of a “art community” im not sure what it is like. i was just used to art classes but i wanted to maybe get to some level in trying new things. i gotta admit some of the things you said did come off a little strong but i really respect that you voiced your opinion and didnt flat out say no or this is the worst idea/picture ever wich you very well could have done but you didnt. im sure i didnt pick the right time to experiment and probably went a little too far with it but hey i saw the opportunity and took it. anyways thanks

Hey man..hows going…about my “Kois in Heaven” design…at first would be only the front with de big carp, but i wanna make a front/back design a long time ago…so a came with this idea, to put more than one element, and pass the levity feeling on the shirt..its like the kois were floating all over the tee…but thankx for the coment..i appreciate that ^^

I donno if EP will ever restore to its former glory. Its seems like CA.org really took over the forum population of concept artists. If you’re ever looking for a small, insanely blunt/critical community, though, I recommend Penny Arcade’s forum. The crits are sometimes harsh, but always pretty honest and helpful.
